This advanced course is designed for dentists seeking to improve their efficiency, confidence, and outcomes when managing impacted third molars. Participants will learn a systematic approach to case assessment, treatment planning, flap design, bone removal, tooth sectioning, and surgical execution for both mandibular and maxillary third molars. Emphasis will be placed on identifying the safest and most efficient pathway for removal while minimizing surgical trauma and operative time.
Through case-based learning and surgical video demonstrations, attendees will gain practical strategies for managing complex impactions, reducing the risk of complications, and improving patient outcomes. Topics include nerve injury prevention, CBCT interpretation, essential sectioning techniques for all type of impactions, armamentarium, management of intraoperative and postoperative complications, and advanced surgical decision-making that can be immediately incorporated into clinical practice.
This is not a beginner course and the pre-requesite of this course is THE Extraction Course and experience with third molar extractions (recommended at least 20 sets of third molar extractions.)
